Lauren Westecott (She/Her/Hers)

Lauren Westecott joined CCDI Consulting as Manager, Learning in 2021 after working as an Instructional Designer and eLearning Advisor for a private company in the defense industry. She was previously a high school educator in Hamilton, Ontario. Lauren completed her BAH in history and French studies at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She concurrently completed her Bachelor of Education with a focus on educating marginalized youth. Lauren holds certificates in international studies, adult education, and special education, and she is currently completing her M.Ed through the University of Ottawa. Lauren’s passion for diversity and inclusion began at a young age as she became interested in learning about other cultures, languages, and religions. Her formal studies have centred around social history, where she became increasingly interested in the histories of sexuality, power, and privilege. This motivated her to volunteer with a local immigrant services branch, creating educational and social programs for newcomer youth with a focus on increasing the inclusion of girls. She has since participated in a human rights arts festival and is looking forward to continuing to share her passion for diversity, inclusion, and equity. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys painting, cooking, and hiking with her dog, Mickey.
